Headache Types/ Types of Headaches and Location
There are more than 150 headache types, depending on their intensity and where they occur. The most common types of headaches and location include:
Tension headache– tension headache is the most common type and causes mild to moderate pain, that comes and goes over time.
Migraine headache– described as throbbing or pounding pain, that can last from 4 hours to 3 days, and might happen 1- 4 times a month.
Cluster headaches– these are usually severe and can give intense piercing or burning sensation around or behind one eye. The pain can be constant or throbbing.
